Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to learn from our tutorials, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our goal
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with one main heading per page, landmarks and a logical heading order.
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard users.
- Everything interactive works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Text and interface colors meet AA contrast ratios; subject markers use text as well as color.
- Layouts adapt to small screens (down to 320 pixels wide) and browser zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Minimal animation that respects the “reduce motion” setting.
- Diagrams have text alternatives and captions, and the same information appears in the tutorial text.
How we check
We test with automated checks during development (page structure, contrast and layout at several screen widths) and manual keyboard testing. This is a self-assessment; the site has not been audited by an outside organization.
Known limitations
Search requires JavaScript; without it, every tutorial can still be reached from the subject pages and the all-tutorials page. External websites we link to are outside our control.
Feedback
If something is hard to use, tell us at support@guidetutor.com. Include the page address, a short description, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using if you can.
